Kerbal Space Program Now Being Ported To PlayStation 4

June 17, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

Squad claims they won’t make just another lazy port of the game, but this likely also means that the game will not be arriving to the platform anytime soon.

Squad has revealed that they will be bringing Kerbal Space Program to PlayStation 4.

This follows numerous requests to bring the game to the platform. They explain that they are capitalizing on the flexibility of the Unity engine and that the game will have no compromises, even though it will be adapted to the Dualshock 4. Flying Tiger Entertainment will help them with porting duties.

Squad claims they won’t make just another lazy port of the game, but this likely also means that the game will not be arriving to the platform anytime soon.

Kerbal Space Program is notable for being a success on Steam, and a particularly high selling title on GNU/Linux. The game has also received high interest in the scientific community for bringing prominence to space exploration. Among parties that have shown interest are NASA and Elon Musk.
