E3 2015: Anno 2205 Brings the Series to Space

June 16, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Ubisoft has announced Anno 2205 at E3 this year.

Anno 2205 is the latest title in the long-running series of city management sims from Ubisoft. Set for release on November 3, the game takes place in the distant future in which humanity has run out of resources on Earth and has turned towards the stars.

While it seems like the whole game is set on the lunar surface, the official website seems to indicate that you'll be colonizing continents on Earth, establishing a Moon base, and mining resources from the Moon to transform cities on earth.

The game is set to offer "thousands of hours" of gameplay that lets you go beyond the game's story mode and grow cities of your own design, populated by thousands of buildings and many more inhabitants.

The game is being built on an entirely new engine superior to the previous Anno games, offering spaces five times larger than ever before.

The game is set for release on November 3, 2015 for the PC.
