In an exciting announcement, Nintendo revealed today that the popular Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask for N64 is making its way to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack next month. This comes after the company announced just yesterday that Banjo-Kazooie would be releasing on the subscription service today. As promised, Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion members can enjoy Banjo-Kazooie today and get ready for Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask.
There is no release date just yet for the popular Zelda game. In all likelihood, Nintendo plans to follow the same method it used to reveal a release date for Banjo-Kazooie. The game was originally announced to be coming to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack in December 2021 and then given a release date in January. Perhaps Nintendo will provide a release date for Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask the day before it releases in February.
Nintendo’s official announcement said, “Save Termina before it’s met with a terrible fate! The Legend of #Zelda: Majora’s Mask comes to #NintendoSwitch for #NintendoSwitchOnline + Expansion Pack members in February! #Nintendo64″
Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask was originally released in 2000 for the N64, and in 2003 for the GameCube. The sixth installment in The Legend of Zelda franchise and a direct sequel to its predecessor, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, also received a remake for the 3DS in 2015. The game takes place only two months after the previous game and follows Link’s quest to Termina, a parallel world to Hyrule. When the iconic Zelda character reaches Termina, he soon finds out that the world is endangered as the moon will crash land in only three days. Additionally, the masks play a key role as they allow Link to transform into a myriad of different beings. The game is a staple of the franchise and fans are sure to rejoice at its addition to Nintendo’s subscription service.
Look forward to playing Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask on Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack in February.
