New screens have appeared for Angry Birds Sonic Dash Epic, a limited time event coming to mobile.
Sonic Dash is an endless runner set in a world reminiscent of Seaside Hill from Sonic Heroes. You move right to left, attacking enemies and collecting rings like in regular Sonic games. The twist here is Sonic is always moving forward. You can buy or collect rings in game to play as other characters, including Amy, Cream, and Rouge.
Angry Birds Epic is actually a spinoff and not part of the main Angry Birds series. You still swipe birds to strike at pigs, but with strategy RPG elements. There is a crafting system you can make use of while not in battle. You can also strategize by having birds strike each other. Doing so will give the second bird the abilities of the first.
Based on the just released press release, you collect the Angry Birds Epic tokens to unlock the Angry Birds characters Red, Chuck, and Bomb. They can also be purchased in-game. Either way, they will be available to play, again also for a limited time, shortly after the event.
