Horizon Forbidden West Story Trailer Is The Best Look At The Game Yet

January 19, 2022 by Matt Cook

Check out the trailer below.

With just a few weeks to go until Horizon Forbidden West reaches gamers’ hands, Guerilla Games has released a new story trailer for the game. The new trailer gives fans of Aloy the best look yet at the new game. The trailer shows Aloy going west, meeting the tribes that were previously shown in the game, and all around trying to save the day. Check out the Horizon Forbidden West story trailer below.

The new trailer shows Aloy going west in order to try and save her people from starvation and suffering. In the trailer, the west is described as a dangerous place where “war is the rule, peace the exception”. Regalla, the leader of the rebels is shown in the trailer. She was previously shown in the tribes trailer that was released for the game. Regalla, the antagonist in the game, “seeks to slaughter all those who’ve wronged her. She will kill anyone who gets in her way.” According to the trailer Regalla has been supplied with troops, weapons, and “the ability to control machines, machines of war.”

The trailer also appears to confirm the box art for the game that we covered earlier today. The regular and special edition box arts were leaked online but not confirmed. The new trailer for the game features the same box art that we covered for the regular version of the game. The special edition box art still hasn’t been officially confirmed. However, since the standard box art has now been confirmed, the previous leak is more likely to be true. Check out all the info for that story here.

Horizon Forbidden West is releasing exclusively on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on February 18. The footage shown in today’s trailer is from the PS5 version of the game. For a look at the PS4 version of the game, check out the screenshots released here.
