Fans of science fiction and fantasy may be well versed with Richard Morgan, whose works like Altered Carbon and The Steel Remains are among some of the best the genre has to offer.
Richard Morgan is no stranger to video games, having previously committed writing to Syndicate and Crysis 2 for Electronic Arts, Morgan returns to the scene with the release of A Land Fit for Heroes, a new handheld fantasy adventure app based on his trilogy of fantasy novels.
A Land Fit for Heroes is coming to the App Store for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch, as well as Amazon Kindle Fire on Android on Google Play. The game is also being developed for the PC through Steam.
According to the press release, the game-book, A Land Fit For Heroes, will be produced in collaboration with Richard Morgan and the story will run parallel to that of the first volume in his book trilogy, The Steel Remains.
Morgan’s dark and violent fantasy trilogy series of books, published by Gollancz, also features titles, The Cold Commands and The Dark Defiles, which will set a much darker tone than that of typical game-books traditionally aimed at a younger audience.
"I’m extremely excited in the collaboration for A Land Fit For Heroes as a game-book," said Richard Morgan. "It’s a fresh format of storytelling for the trilogy and one I’m really looking forward to developing with Liber Primus Games over the coming months ahead."
