Nintendo’s popular Fire Emblem series has been around since the 90’s, but it was only released outside of Japan in the early 2000s. It’s evolved over the years, adding things here and there. The newest FE title, Fire Emblem If, will bring with it a trading card game and a slightly altered Weapon Triangle system. Nintendo has released an introduction trailer to give players an overview of what to expect in If.
The trailer shows some battle footage, with units fighting solo or alongside another unit. It outlines the two versions of the game, which are not mirrors of each other. It also highlights the Dragon’s Vein ability, which allows Royalty to interact with the battlefield. Also shown is the new “My Castle” feature which allows players to create and share their own base via StreetPass.
Fire Emblem If is scheduled for release on June 25 for Japan and in 2016 for Europe and North America.
