Update: Avellone has told Eurogamer that he is pursuing new projects, "On the future, I'm off to pursue new projects, but I can't say anything more at this time beyond life is short, and the ideas keep growing."
Original Story: Game designer and writer Chris Avellone has announced on Twitter that is has left Obsidian Entertainment.
I have officially left Obsidian Entertainment to accept a sudden opening as the Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor at Hogwarts.

Avellone, who previously worked at Interplay, has not revealed details of his plans for the future at present. He co-founded Obsidian in 2003 after disestablishment of Black Isle Studios and the cancellation of Fallout Van Buren.
His most recent project at Obsidian was Kickstarted title Pillars of Eternity.
