Star Wars HQ has a small hint for Star Wars Battlefront, as well as details on the upcoming Visceral Star Wars open world game. You can subscribe to them on YouTube here.
Admiral Ackbar joins Darth Vader and Boba Fett in the list of confirmed heroes to be playable in the game. It’s also expected that Han Solo will be playable as well.
Subsequently, if these characters will be appearing, it’s hoped that their ships and vehicles will be available too. The Millenium Falcon was confirmed before Solo, bolstering the case that he will be playable, and perhaps making Chewbacca a likely addition as well.
Not confirmed, but potentially just as exciting, would be Boba Fett’s Slave-1 and Vader’s Advanced TIE Fighter. Ackbar’s ship may not be as famous, but in fact, it could be even more impressive to play as him directing the Alliance Fleet from the gigantic Home One.
Visceral Star Wars’ director Scott Warner has been dropping several hints and teasers for the game, presumably alluding that it will be open world.
The biggest one is a silly little photoshop/pun. In this tweet, Scott has placed Han Solo in the world of Mercenaries. Coincidentally, Scott was also lead designer for Mercenaries under Pandemic, and it was itself published by LucasArts on PlayStation 2 and Xbox in 2005.

Scott posted another pic, this time of a Boba Fett visiting the Visceral Games offices. Of course, both Han and Boba have been alluded to as protagonists of open world Star Wars games.
