CONFIRMED: Tanya’s outfit is considerably more practical compared to her previous appearances. In Mortal Kombat 4, she had the standard female ninja leotard and thigh-high boots, which made her look a bit like a maskless luchador. Hardly fitting of someone with her skills. In Mortal Kombat: Deception, she got a strapless leotard and a gravity-defying drape around her hips. Coupled with below-the-knee boots and free flowing locks, she looked considerably more elegant, but still very impractical.
Mortal Kombat X has Tanya returning to Kombat with a midriff-baring top and what appears to be an ornate Egyptian necklace. She’s also sporting sleek black pants with a gold sash, a vast improvement compared to her previous outfits in terms of practicality. She’s also still got killer boots, which seem pretty useful for breaking necks and bodies.
Kidding aside, Tanya is looking mighty brutal in this DLC trailer. Slightly cheesy trash talk is plentiful, but isn’t that a staple in nearly every fighting game now? Pretty glad they don’t talk much, and get straight to the action, and mmmm, it’s looking good. Mortal Kombat X is serving up its special brand of brutality that keeps us coming back for more. Gotta love how she just throws off Miss Cage’s intestines there.
Fast-paced, deliciously bloody action, just the way we like it. Tanya is available as DLC for owners of the Kombat Pack starting June 2, and will be sold separately come June 9.Mortal Kombat X is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
