Microsoft has begun sending out free codes for Halo 3: ODST's campaign to early The Master Chief Collection players as compensation for the game's significant online problems.
Those who logged into their Xbox Live account and played the Collection at any time between November 11, 2014 and December 19, 2014 are eligable to receive an in-console message containing a non-transferable code.
Players who are not eligable to receive a code can purchase the campaign from the Xbox Store for $4.99.
Listed under the Halo 3 'Campaigns' section on the main menu of the Collection, the Halo 3: ODST campaign runs at 1080p and 60fps but does not include the game's widely appreciated Firefight game mode.
Halo 2's Remnant multiplayer map has also been released for the Collection along with a new patch. The map is available for free to all players and is playable via the competitive multiplayer modes of Halo 2: Anniversary and an Xbox Live Gold account is required to play. Remnant now also runs at 1080p and 60fps.
100 new achievements have been added to the Collection for ODST's campaign and Remnant.
