Microsoft might be attempting to purchase Silent Hills from Konami, according to a rumor presented by Rooster Teeth’s The Know.
The Know cites an anonymous, “well-placed” source “in the industry” as their source of information for this rumor. They do note, however, that this information has only been presented by one person (i.e. it is uncorroborated), but that person has leaked information to them in the past that turned out to be true.
Additional details about this rumor include Microsoft wanting to make this announcement at E3 2015, just a couple of weeks from now, that Silent Hills will then release in March 2016 (saying Silent Hills is “80% done”), and that Microsoft could be paying an amount of money in the billions for this purchase.

In April Konami announced that it had officially cancelled Silent Hills, following Konami’s decision to pull P.T., the playable teaser for Silent Hills, from the PlayStation Network.
