Square Enix said that they’re bringing a lot of titles to E3 this year, and they believe that they are at least on the same level as their competitors. They’ve just released their lineup for the current Fiscal Year (April 1, 2015 until March 31, 2016), and while it’s impressive, we’ve noticed the absence of Final Fantasy XV. It’s not much of a surprise given how long it’s been in the works, but it still stings a little.
Moving on, we’ve still got plenty to look forward to. Fiscal Year 2016 focuses heavily on the Western market, with a concentration of releases from the 2015 Holidays and onwards. For HD games, we’ll be getting Rise of the Tomb Raider and Just Cause 3 in the 2015 Holiday Season. Release dates for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Dragon Quest Heroes II, and Star Ocean 5 are still to be announced.
These are just forecasts, and things are subject to change. With Square Enix’s commitment to improve on their existing IPs, we can expect that any delays will result in an overall better game and experience. Maybe we’ll even get Final Fantasy XV by the end of this year (we wish!).
