From Software's Bloodborne will receive an expansion later this year, Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida confirmed on Twitter.
Yoshida did not have much to offer in terms of information on this expansion, but the fact that he calls it that suggests it may be significantly larger than the average DLC. We'll know more "later this year", possibly at Sony's E3 press conference on June 15th.
So I have been asked by many people if we are making DLC for Bloodborne. I can say… An expansion is coming. More info later this year. 😀

A new patch is also being developed for the game, and will be available next week.
Game producer Masaaki Yamagiwa announced on Twitter that patch 1.04 is currently being worked on, and is scheduled to be released on May 25th.
Details about the contents of the patch have not been confirmed at this point, but we should know more soon. Patch 1.03 fixed several bugs, reduced load times, and added item descriptions to loading times.
