Fans of the God of War series who have been looking to jump back into the hack-n-slash fray while serving up a nice Olympic fillet need not wait much longer. God of War III Remastered is now available for pre-order and will be released on July 14th in North America, July 15th in mainland Europe, and July 17th in the UK and Ireland for the PlayStation 4 digitally and at retail. This date coincides with a God of War 3 Remastered PS4 console bundle listed on Amazon France. Those who pre-order Kratos’ return to brutality will receive a new God of War – Fall of Olympus Dynamic Theme.
In conjunction with this announcement PlayStation has released a new trailer for God of War 3 Remastered that shows off the game’s primary selling point for returning fans: 1080p resolution, running at 60 frames per second. The video shows Kratos in all his strength fighting the lord of the underworld, Hades in a roughly ten-minute fight that is sure to take old players back to their days of ripping the skin and bones off of their godly enemies.
God of War 3 Remastered will also come packed with Photo Mode. Like other modes of this nature (see: The Last of Us Remastered, The Order: 1886), players will be able to freeze the action and then meticulously plan out a stunning shot using different effects, angles, and more. Players will then be able to show off their eye for photography by sharing that photo with their friends on the PlayStation Network and other social media networks.
