Here’s a quick rundown of every confirmed character in Batman: Arkham Knight.
o Batman
Bruce’s final mission raises the stakes higher than ever before, so much so that Bruce needs to call in tons of help.
o Batmobile
Rocksteady has made the vehicle the centerpiece of Arkham Knight, so much so that it counts as a character on its own.
o Penguin
Cobblepot is knee deep in guns and weapons as always, and with him is his old Arkham partner….
o Two-Face
Harvey Dent is especially unpleasant in the Arkham games, and with Cobblepot, he’s bound to make Bruce and company tons of trouble. But as famous as these two villains are, they’re not calling the shots.
o Poison Ivy
Isley is seen talking to Bruce, but we don’t know for sure quite yet what role she has to play in the story. In every previous Arkham game she has played the role of victim, villain, and mole, but this time things might be different.
o Firefly
We don’t know much about what Firefly has to do with the game, but Garfield Lynns is probably not going to side with you down the road like the other inmates did.
o Riddler
Nygma has been content to stay behind the sidelines thus far, but who knows? Maybe it’s finally time for him to call the shots.
o Harley Quinn
Harley’s her own woman now, with her own gang, and her own playable missions. Things are different for Isley now that Harley is springing her out. What this means for the story, we love to speculate but can only guess at.
o Scarecrow
The purported ‘mastermind’ of the takeover of Gotham. I say purported because, if you pay attention to each Arkham trailer vs game, the bad guy in the trailer is never actually the one calling the shots. Either way, Crane is at his most terrifying here.
o Arkham Knight
The mysterious new villain who can go toe to toe with Bruce. Is the Knight a woman under that armor? Is it Azrael? Is the Knight connected to Ra’s and his League of Assassins somehow? Is it Talon? Or is he none of these things, and a completely new character as Rocksteady claims? His armor looks cool, though.
o Commissioner Gordon
Gordon is a resilient ally, who has more at stake in this battle for Gotham than he can possibly guess.
o Oracle
Bruce’s eyes and ears around Gotham, Barbara is Bruce’s most vital ally in the series. However, for Arkham Knight, Bruce has friends on the frontlines too.
o Catwoman
Selina Kyle has always lightly tread the line between villain and hero. With Gotham under lockdown, she has taken a stand, and that is by Bruce’s side.
o Robin
Drake has infrequently appeared in the Arkham games to save Bruce’s bacon, except for that one time Isley mind controlled him to fight Bruce instead. Thanks to dual play – allowing you to switch characters seamlessly – you can ensure that won’t happen again.
o Nightwing
Grayson is the man most likely to succeed Bruce, and a successful superhero in his own right. Like Robin, he is playable for the first time in an Arkham game.
o Azrael
Azrael foretold the city would burn, and Bruce would fall in the process of saving it. Finally, his portentuous predictions will be revealed.
o Batgirl
Finally, Barbara Gordon’s other alter ego is not only debuting, but will be coming in as a playable character in future DLC.
Batman: Arkham Knight will be released on June 23 on Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
