This fan claims to have information on a Star Wars Battlefront 3 closed alpha that happened not too long ago, in a galaxy far, far away.
To be more specific, the alpha was held just after the Star Wars Celebration Anaheim reveal. Only select EA employees got to participate, and they played for a week. Based on this timeframe, if Battlefront will have a public alpha, it will be in Q3 2015. The public beta should then happen a month before release.
The alpha was held in Endor, hosting 20 vs 20 gameplay in a new unnamed game mode. Under this mode, one team spawns at the bottom, and one at top. There are five capture points, two at the bottom of the map, one in the middle, and two on top.
The idea is to capture all five points, and you have to do so in a certain order. If a team gets to the middle, an AI controlled AT-At appears to attack the middle capture point, attacking the remaining areas that the winning team still have not captured. If time runs out, the team with the most areas captured wins.

Star Wars: Battlefront 3 will be released on November 17 for Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
