Dying Light fans have been waiting a very long time for their sequel. Dying Light 2 Stay Human has been going through the development cycle for years. This hasn’t been the smoothest development game out there. We’ve seen delays and even rumors of the game being stuck in development hell. However, we now know that the game will be hitting the marketplace next year. Initially, it was slated to release this year, but again, the game was forced into another delay.
This was not something too out of the ordinary this year. We’ve seen several video game titles get delayed. After the worldwide pandemic put so many jobs into remote working, there’s been a transition period. Then there are the new obstacles of working remotely, and as a result, several studios delayed their projects. Included in the mix was Dying Light 2 Stay Human. However, that does mean 2022 should be full of incredible video game titles being released regularly.
While 2022 has shaped up to be a thrilling year for video games, players can at least count that February 4, 2022, will see the launch of Dying Light 2 Stay Human. This is not going to change any further. Recently, MP1ST spoke with Techland’s lead game designer, Tymon Smektala, who stated that there is zero chance of the game being delayed again.
Tymon said that the game will release in February and that the team is focusing on the launch. However, there’s zero chance of any more delays happening. Again, it was rehashed that there were several reasons for this latest delay, including the fact that the game was being polished and the Covid-19 pandemic.
At the very least, it looks like fans can count on Dying Light 2 Stay Human launching early in 2022. Although, there are several other games slated to launch throughout next year that could still face delays. After all, we’re still dealing with a pandemic. In the meantime, players can pick up Dying Light 2 Stay Human for the PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
