Consumers want the latest generation of video game console platforms. These are brand new game consoles that launched last year. During the height of the pandemic, both Sony and Microsoft were able to send out their latest consoles into the marketplace. It was clearly a challenge with industries having to also shutdown and quarantine. Then there was the fiasco of shipping units out into different countries.
While a typical new console hardware release is always hyped up and stock might be limited initially, things typically don’t last well over a year. However, again this pandemic is causing plenty of issues across the board. For one, we’re dealing with a massive worldwide chip shortage, and it’s causing stock for new consoles to be limited. If you’re a consumer looking to pick up a new console, you might have a chance today.
We have been trying to keep tabs on when new restocks will be happening for the latest consoles. Fortunately, Walmart is bringing out an online restock for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Digital, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S today. At 3 PM ET, Walmart will be bringing out this restock online, and consumers can jump online to pick up a unit. Unfortunately, we don’t know how many units are available for each device, so it’s best to be ready.
These consoles quickly go out of stock, so if you’re not ready, don’t expect them to be around very long after 3 PM ET. If you miss out on this restock, we’ll be keeping an eye out for any other restock announcements or rumors to send your way. For now, best of luck to those looking to secure a unit before the holidays.
