Back 4 Blood was one of the more anticipated video games coming out into the marketplace this year. Set to be the spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead and by the same developers, Turtle Rock Studios. It’s a game that players can dive into right now, and overall the developers attempted to make a bigger experience than Left 4 Dead. With it comes more enemies, cast of characters, and bigger storylines. However, there seem to be some struggles to keep players on Back 4 Blood over Left 4 Dead on Steam.
Left 4 Dead 2 is not a new game. But it is the last installment to the Left 4 Dead franchise. With the game over a decade old, this is still a title that fans love. However, you might be a bit surprised to see just how many players will jump to the game when possible. After all, this game is still supported by the fan base community. In fact, the community brought out the last major update to the game, which added loads of new content.
Recently, Valve featured a Halloween sale in which players could jump on a ton of great deals. Among that list of deals was Left 4 Dead 2. Being a classic cooperative zombie FPS, there was bound to be some new players jumping into the mix. Although, you might be surprised that there were so many players jumping onto the game that it broke the number of players enjoying Back 4 Blood at the same time. It wasn’t a massive number, but it’s reported that 32,000 players were enjoying Back 4 Blood. Meanwhile, 38,000 players were enjoying Left 4 Dead 2.
There is still a strong following for the Left 4 Dead franchise. Although, this number is only for those on Steam and not across all the other available platforms. For now, players can enjoy both games, but if you haven’t given Back 4 Blood a chance yet, then we might be able to help. We have a Before You Buy video on Back 4 Blood where we give you some gameplay and our overall impressions on the title, which you can view in the video embedded above.
