Alien: Isolation is one of the more well-known horror games of the current console generation. When the tile was first released on to the masses of eager fans, many were put off by its staggering difficulty. Now that gamers have had some time to become acclimated to the game and adjust to its many nuances, Alien: Isolation is seeing new life.
Sega has reported that the game has sold 2.1 million copies as of March 31, 2015. The statistics do not, however, indicate whether or not these are representative of sales to consumers. These are likely numbers that depict the number of copies shipped to retailers.
Alien: Isolation is Sega's second-best selling game of their 2014 fiscal year. The only game to beat it comes as Football Manager 2015, which clocked in at an amazing 810,000 units sold.
Developer of Alien: Isolation, The Creative Assembly, is reportedly working on a new, AAA title for release next year. Keep your eyes on Gameranx for more information.
