Final Fantasy XV is one of the most anticipated games coming from the camp of developer Square Enix. A demo for the title, Episode Duscae, was included in the retail version of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. There were many who bought into the experience of Type-0 HD simply for access to the Final Fantasy XV demo, but the question remains: how many people exactly?
In the recent Final Fantasy XV "Active Time Report," developer and publisher Square Enix revealed that over eighty percent of people buying Final Fantasy Type-0 HD bought it simply so they could play Episode Duscae. This percentage doesn't tell us what the tendencies were past those who took the optional survey, but the statistics speak for the popularity of Final Fantasy XV. Furthermore, the data indicates that 82 percent of respondents will purchase Final Fantasy XV even after playing the demo, reinforcing the notion that it was a positive experience.
Demo codes for Episode Duscae alone were selling for around $30 on eBay, so it goes without saying that Final Fantasy XV is well on its way to becoming a monstrous release.
