In today’s Grand Theft Auto 5-related Q&A hosted by the Rockstar News Wire, Rockstar revealed that players won’t be banned for using single-player mods.
In addition to this news, which we reported on earlier, GTA Online will not be seeing any new Heists anytime soon.
"For those asking for more Heists, please understand that Grand Theft Auto Online Heists were a tremendous undertaking so it's not the sort of thing where we can easily create and publish additional Heists like other Job modes and missions. We are, however, working on other cool updates for GTA Online that you can expect over the coming months," Rockstar wrote.
Fortunately, despite the lack of new Heists, Rockstar plans to implement some “very cool new toys for you to enjoy and flaunt with your ill-gotten gains,” meaning we’ll likely see new vehicles and weapons to play with.
Rockstar also plans on adding additional support for specialized gaming peripherals like racing wheels and joysticks. The company is unable to make any promises regarding their implementation, but says it’s looking into it.
