Risen 3: Titan Lords – Enhanced Edition will be released on August 21st for PlayStation, publisher Deep Silver and developer Piranha Bytes.
A boxed retail version will be available in Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, the UK, France, Spain, and the Nordic territories while the game will be on sale digitally in all territories.
The Enchanced Edition offers graphics comparable with the game's ultra settings in the original PC release and the developer says it may even surpass that in some cases. Higher resolution and post-process effects such as HDR bloom and a new volumetric cloud system.
"With the Enhanced Edition we have the great opportunity to acquaint even more console gamers with our way of crafting worlds. Due to the graphical updates, they can enjoy the exploration of the living and breathing world more than ever," Björn Pankratz, project director at Piranha Bytes, commented in a press release.
All updates and additional post-release content, including Fog Island, Adventure Garb, and the Uprising of the Little Guys DLCs will be included.
Our review of the PC version wasn't too enthusiastic about the game but perhaps the PS4 version will come out better.
