Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the most anticipated video games these past few years from CD Projekt Red. However, when the title finally launched in December of 2020, we didn’t get much experience players had initially been hoped for. Instead, the studio has been working on several updates to fix the different game bugs. It’s also some players wondering just what new content will officially be added into the game. While those upcoming expansions are still very much a mystery, modders are coming in to make their tweaks.
One of the first significant decisions players make in Cyberpunk 2077 is their lifepath. This breaks down into three choices. If you haven’t played the game, a lifepath is essentially the origin story for V, our protagonist. Players can start the game out as a person who grew up on the streets in a gang, an outcast who lives outside the city limits, or a notable corporate individual. These choices will give players a unique start to the game. This also offers customized dialogue options when interacting with certain characters.
Unfortunately, some players feel that the choices didn’t bring enough unique content into the game. For instance, the apartment V lives within doesn’t change in terms of decor depending on the background of V. That’s where one modder that goes by Proximadust went in and delivered their own take on the apartment depending on how players view V. There are four different options available, three of which are Street Kid focused and one Corpo.
With Street Kid options, players have different neon-filled aesthetics centered around being more flashy or techie. Then if you want a more corporate-style apartment, you’ll find things more organized. It’s a small adjustment to the visuals of V’s apartment but a bit more custom to players’ particular vibe of V and the tone of Night City. Of course, these are mods for the PC platform of Cyberpunk 2077.
