A fan believes they found a nice Easter egg from Grand Theft Auto 3 in Grand Theft Auto 5.
This location shows what looks like the safehouse from Grand Theft Auto 3. Some fans say it’s a complete coincidence, but most seem to agree the similarity is too uncanny to be unintentional. For reference sake, here's a photo of the original.
Of course, it cannot possibly be the exact same safehouse. Even in the Grand Theft Auto universe, the two games are set in completely different city, Los Santos and Liberty City respectively. As analogs to Los Angeles and New York, the two cities are basically night and day.
If nothing else, Rockstar just added this Easter egg for the sake of adding a reference to their prior games. Of course, they do this all the time, and with the promise of future content to both Grand Theft Auto 5 and Grand Theft Auto Online, you can expect more.
