Journey PS4 Release Dated for Summer

April 16, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Journey’s release on the PlayStation 4 has been dated.

Sony has revealed that the PlayStation 4 re-release of Journey will be out in the summer.

The publisher confirmed today that the game, developed by thatgamecompany, will be available on shelves on Blu-ray alongside the studio's other titles flOw and Flower as a part of the Journey Collector's Edition.

The PS4 re-release of the game was announced last year at the European games conference, Gamescom. The game itself was developed and released in 2012 for the PS3, and is one of several games Sony is remastering for its new-gen platform, which also includes God of War 3.

Journey will be a cross-buy title, so owners of the PlayStation 3 original will get the PS4 version for free. You won't have to pay a cent if you already own the game digitally.

Here's a trailer for Journey on the PS4, which showcases the game's updated graphics.
