Capcom has revealed that Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate has passed one million units shipped in America and Europe.
The landmark is a notable one for the series, as the game has never been more popular in the West. This one million units shipped combines both physical and download copies across both regions.
Capcom has also thought through what features they would add to the game to make the game appealing to Americans and Europeans and to extend that appeal. The game has online play via broadband, which Capcom has identified as being in strong demand in the West.
However, Capcom has expanded that online functionality further, with special events and a constant stream of free DLC to keep fans returning. The game demo also helped convince many players who were still unsure if they wanted the game to finally purchase it.
