GTA5 PC Launches With Rockstar Editor for Creating & Editing Gameplay Videos

April 13, 2015 by Stephen Daly

Rockstar Editor works with both Story Mode and GTA Online.

When Grand Theft Auto 5 launches tomorrow for PC, it will come with a newly announced feature, Rockstar Editor.

The feature allows players to record gameplay before editing and sharing footage in both GTA Online and Story Mode, IGN reports.

Among the tools included with the feature are filters, special camera modes, depth of field and audio customisation options. There's also a Director Mode which lets users "stage creative moviemaking sequences from a cast of characters ranging from familiar faces from Story Mode, to pedestrians and even animals."

Once you're done, you can upload videos to YouTube and the Rockstar Games Social Club. It's currently unknown whether the feature will be made available on console versions of the game.

Players in the U.S. and Canada will be able to start playing today, as the game will go live at 12am British Summer Time.
