Mario Kart 8's next downloadable content package will be coming out next week. This announcement struck some Nintendo fans by surprise, as the content was supposed to arrive in May. Only one new track, from Animal Crossing, was confirmed. There are seven other tracks in the package, though no available details.
Thanks to the datamining efforts of various Internet users, these coded track names have surfaced:
– 3DS_NEOBOWSERCITY (Mario kart 7 circuit, Neo Bowser City)
– GC_BABYPARK (Mario Kart Double Dash!! circuit, Baby Park)
– WU_ANIMAL (new Wii U circuit, the Animal Crossing one showcased during the Nintendo Direct)
– WU_METRO (new Wii U circuit, based on Metroid?)
– WU_WOODS (new Wii U circuit)
Their names are somewhat revealing, which makes us wonder why Nintendo left them so obvious. At any rate, we'll have all the answers next month when the DLC is out.
