The worst case scenario for Microsoft and Halo Online has come to pass: modders have the ElDorito multiplayer build up and running, before the game has even gotten to closed alpha in Russia.
This video shows the game in action, showing a select screen before loading into a match. The match is held out in a desert, with Blue and Red Marines facing off. They move around the map on foot, using Hornets and Warthogs.
Visually, the game is sufficient, not impressive. Of course, this is no surprise as the game is being developed to work with lower end PCs. It still looks familiar enough, having been based on the Halo 3 engine.
We don’t know how far along development was in Saber Interactive, and for that matter, how much was filled in by what is now known as Team Eldorito. However, based on what we have already seen, it may not be that long before Eldorito will be ready to spread their build around the web.
