Visceral Games' chief Steve Papoutsis has left EA Games.
According to a report by Kotaku, the former executive producer of the Dead Space series of games and the newly out Battlefield Hardline is no longer with EA and that his position of general manager has been handed over to Scott Probst, the son of EA chairman of the board, Larry Probst.
“We are thankful for Steve’s many contributions to EA and wish him the best,” an EA representative said. “The Visceral team continues to be focused on new game content for Battlefield Hardline including expansion packs, as well as new development projects.”
Some commenters on the site have noted that it may be nepotism for Scott Probst to be given the position, but it should be rightfully pointed out that Probst has been serving as producer at EA, having worked on both the Medal of Honor and Command & Conquer franchises, as well as Dead Space 2.
