Dead Island 2 will not be releasing in the spring, according to two reports from Videogamer and Eurogamer Czech. According to sources, the game has been delayed to fall 2015.
According to Eurogamer Czech, the game has been specifically delayed to September. No explanation for the delay has been forthcoming as of yet. It's unknown whether the planned spring beta will even take place.
Previous announcements from Deep Silver indicated that the spring beta would take place first on the PlayStation 4, followed by the PC and Xbox One later. Players who purchased Escape Dead Island have been guaranteed a position in the beta.
We have reached out to Deep Silver to ask them about the delay.
