Final Fantasy XV Team Bolstered with Additional Development Studio

April 6, 2015 by Jacob Saylor

Final Fantasy XV gets more team members allocated to its creation.

Final Fantasy XV is due out sometime next year, and main developer Square Enix is looking to make sure that deadline is met. They've recruited a number of different studios to work on Final Fantasy XV and independent team HexaDrive is the latest in that long line of development prowess.

HexaDrive has done work on a myriad of series: Zone of the Enders, The Legend of Zelda and Metal Gear Solid. While their work on these major franchises has been mostly on spin-off titles, this is their first big shot. It will be very interesting to see how this affects the course of HexaDrive's future. By most accounts, Final Fantasy XV is already looking like it will be one of the very best games in the series.

HexaDrive has also worked on Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, an HD remaster of an older PSP game for the PlayStation 4.

Thanks, Famitsu.
