Bravely Second End Layer had its latest livestream recently, revealing some interesting details about the game’s soundtrack – and preorder costume DLC.
The game’s soundtrack is being composed in full by Ryo, founder of dojin music group SUPERCELL. Ryo was found in Nicovideo, and he and his band SUPERCELL are best known for composing the soundtrack to the Black Rock Shooter anime. They also have two EPs to their credit, with their songs appearing in other anime, including Naruto.
Ryo is composing the game’s beginning and ending themes, titled Great Distance and Last Song, respectively. Providing vocals is singer Chelly, who was also found in Nicovideo, and is actually in a band with Ryo called EGOIST. It’s likely that they are credited as solo artists for this game because EGOIST is contracted to Sony Music.
Fans will get to preorder the game in select stores, and by doing so acquire the beginning theme, Great Distance, on May 20. They will also get their pick of one of eight costumes, as illustrated in the gallery below.
While all the characters get some nice alternates, what will probably interest you are the racy outfits available for new protagonist Magnolia Arch, as well as returning Tiz Arrior. While Magnolia wears a bunny outfit reminiscent of Agnes’ Bravo Bunny outfit from Bravely Default, Tiz takes a literal Spartan look with a scarf, sandals, armbands and underpants. Square Enix covered up similar outfits for Bravely Default’s US release, so expect these to be covered up by Square as well.
Bravely Second End Layer will be released on April 26th in Japan. Would you like to use these outfits when it comes to the West? Would you like to get to buy the soundtrack as part of a bundle? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
