Bungie has announced that players in Destiny will be issued with temporary matchmaking bans if they're "chronically idle".
The developers has placed matchmaking bans on a small number of the "most toxic players", stating they they regularly remain idle which ruins the experience for others.
"Sitting idle in Strikes and PvP has been on our radar for a while now, but it's become clear that a small number of the worst idlers are responsible for damaging the experiences of thousands of other players," Bungie commented.
"One player not contributing in an activity might seem like a small thing, but it can make a Weekly Heroic Strike unbeatable or make a Crucible match unwinnable. Those little bits of damage to the experiences of other players adds up over time."
Bungie says that only the most determined idle players would be affected by the move, and users who sometimes need to put down the controller during multiplayer have no need to worry.
The strength and health of select bosses and enemies will also be reduced during the least completed strikes.
