The PlayStation lineup of exclusives is a massive one. Of course, there are franchises that fans have played over the years, and on the PlayStation 4, we had a soft reboot for one of these big IPs. I’m, of course, referring to God of War. This iconic video game IP has been around since the days of the PlayStation 2. Now on PlayStation 4, we had a reboot of sorts that allowed players to once again step into the role of Kratos.
This particular installment was a massive hit, and we know a sequel is coming out. However, in God of War, players once again step into the role of Kratos. Although this is set years after the events of the first collection of video games. With Greek gods no longer a threat, Kratos ventures onto new lands and starts a family. We’re thrown into the mix of the chaos once again when a new set of gods from Norse mythology learns that Kratos is in their presence.
With now a son to protect and raise up, Kratos has to channel his energy into being a father figure while also dealing with new enemies. Today we’re finding out that the game will finally hit the PC platform this upcoming year. Fortunately, this is not a long wait for players to endure as it’s only slated to launch on January 14, 2022. Although, that means those that haven’t picked up a PlayStation 4 can enjoy this game. Otherwise, players can replay the game once again.
Sony has been offering the PC platform a few of its exclusive titles to enjoy. However, they are few and far between compared to Microsoft. As you know, Microsoft offers all their first-party exclusives on the PC platform alongside the launch of their console platform. However, so far, we have had some big hitters come to the PC. In the past we have seen Days Gone along with Horizon Zero Dawn hit the PC platform. Now we know that the Uncharted franchise will hit the PC platform soon alongside the newly announced God of War port.
