Black Tusk Studios developer Jack Felling has given his word. The next Gears of War will only be on Xbox One.
@Clayton_117 No sorry, it won't be available on the 360 but it will be available for the Xbox One!

Really, the only reason this question was even up in the air was because Black Tusk stayed silent for too long on the issue. Still, it should be no surprise that this would be the case, given that many Xbox One exclusives, such as Rise: Son of Rome, and Killer Instinct, started out as Xbox 360 prototypes, but ended up not getting published on the older console.
So, this should stand as an assurance for Xbox One owners that they guessed right that Gears of War, aside from Halo 5 Guardians and Crackdown, would all be making the jump to Xbox One and would not be looking back.
The last Gears of War game, Gears of War Judgement, came out in 2013, so it may be some time before we see the next game even get a preview. This is only to the series’ benefit, as Black Tusk opts to optimize the game for Xbox One.
Now, Jack’s statement does not say anything about a Windows port coming down the line, or possibly even at the same time. If DirectX 12 is going to be everything it’s being cracked up to be, this next Gears of Wars game will likely be a native Windows 10 game, although a Steam port is not out of the question either.
