This is a guide on how to ensure you get connected with your friends and play online co-op quickly in Bloodborne.
1. Make sure to use a complex, hard to guess password. Don’t use common passwords like ‘password’. This way, you’ll find each other easier.
2. You and your friend should go as close to the same spot on each world as possible. The closer you each are to approximating your position, the better.
3. This is the key step for quick connections. Have the guest ring their small resonance bell.
4. Wait four to five seconds.
5. Have the host ring the beckoning bell.
6. As soon as you’re connected, have the guest use the silencing blank. Choose the first option. This will shut out other players from coming in, keeping performance high.
Now, a few caveats:
o If one person dies, you will have to start from scratch. Ringing the beckoning bell again costs insight, but you should be able to make that back when you beat the boss.
o You can’t use the beckoning bell in some locations, therefore, you can’t just set up sessions anywhere in the map. One such example is any place where you have already beaten the boss. Another is the Lecture Building.
o There is a soft level cap for co-op. 10 % and 10 levels. Therefore, if you are at level 32, you can team up with a guest between level 20 to 45.
o You and your friend may need to set region to worldwide.
o You and your friend will not be able to connect if you are in antagonistic covenants.
o If you still have problems connecting, try a reboot of your console. If you did have the game running in rest mode, you will need to reboot.
