Battlefield Hardline’s first scheduled Premium did not happen, forcing one of Visceral’s devs to respond to fans on the official forums.
If you buy the Premium Edition of any Battlefield game, you are essentially subscribed to a service, which includes delivering the DLC to you in advance, as well as providing in-game bonuses. Among those bonuses are the monthly events that Premium members get to join in on.
Thaddeus Sasser, lead on multiplayer design for Battlefield Hardline, shared this post on the site:
Hi guys,
When I can't share details, I don't say anything.
The people responsible for the Premium event are working on it. They will tell you more soon.
If you know how Premium has worked in the past, it rolls out over the course of a year. We have not released any major Premium content yet. It's coming!
I've tweeted a number of comments on things we're working on for the upcoming patch, but I haven't posted here. I'll make a post now to address this.
Battlefield Hardline launched relatively smoothly, but the game was still poorly received critically, with many complaints pointed towards Visceral’s lack of experience making a Battlefield game. Subsequently, it seems Visceral is still learning how to deal with the support cycle for the game.
What do you think Visceral and EA could do to make this up to Battlefield Premium subscribers? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
