Polish developer Techland has announced plans to hold a Dying Light closed beta for players to test out the upcoming mod tools, which Techland intends to release for free.
There's no release date for the mod tools but the studio says it plans to release them very shortly. However, since the development of the tools is in the early stages, the studio is taking input from the community.
“We’ll be releasing them soon, but before that happens we want to invite you to a closed beta,” the studio posted on Steam. “You can be one of the first people to create content for Dying Light and influence the development of our tools.
“As this is still an early version of the developer tools, be prepared to come across some difficulties. But that’s exactly why we’re reaching to you – we need your insightful feedback.”
