Mortal Kombat X is sure to be one of the generation's biggest fighting games. Players love delving into the world of Scorpion and his other compatriots. Considering how we've had such a lack of great fighters in this console cycle, we're excited to see what Mortal Kombat X can achieve on next-generation technology.
In what will be considered backwards by many, Capcom announced that the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game won't see release until later this year. This statement from the development studio was prompted after nagging fans asked about this suspicious Amazon listing, which denotes a June 30, 2015 release date.
“Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today confirmed that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Mortal Kombat X being developed by High Voltage Software will release this summer.”
The PS4, Xbox One and PC versions of the game are still on track to release on April 14, 2015. If you're a big fan of Mortal Kombat, it looks like it may be time to take the leap into next-generation gaming.
