NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have revealed the Mortal Kombat X: Kombat Pack for hardcore fans of the series. The so-called Kombat Pack is essentially a DLC season pass for the game that will be available in the Kollector’s Edition, the Limited Edition, and the Premium Edition. It can also be bought separately for $29.99.
One thing that stands out about the pack is its inclusion of Jason Voorhees as a playable kombatant. Best known for his appearance in the Friday the 13th series of horror films, Jason will be available to anyone who purchases the Kombat Pack.
The studios have not revealed what else will be in the pack except to say that it will include two “Klassic Mortal Kombat Kombatants” that are currently in development and a further guest character. That character could very well be Todd MacFarlane’s Spawn, as he hinted it would be awhile back.
Additionally, the Kombat Pack comes with the Samurai Pack, which includes three new character skins and an accompanying skin pack with each playable character.
If you missed it, Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade have been confirmed as fighters in the game yesterday.
