Wolfenstein: The New Order was one of my favorite games last year, just as I stated in my review of the title. That hasn't changed–it's still one of my favorite games ever.
What's great about this fact is that Bethesda and Machinegames seem to know how popular their game is (why wouldn't they?) and are making a standalone prequel to the title called The Old Blood, which takes players back into the shoes of BJ Blazkowicz as he takes on the Nazis in events prior to The New Order.
This smaller, standalone prequel is arriving in a couple of months, and with its impending release the studios involved hosted a public play session of the game live on Twitch during PAX East over the weekend, last weekend. Check it out below.
Priced at $20 and slated as a digital-only release, The Old Blood will be out on May 5th. Just in time for my birthday, then.
