Gameplay time and achievement tracking network Raptr, which offers a range of PC optimisation utilities to players, has announced an agreement with Intel to improve the performance of both hardware and software on Intel graphics-powered systems. Users will see the effects from today.
Raptr's application now offers game optimisation, and hardware-accelerated gameplay recording and streaming, as well as automated driver detection for all three years old or less Intel-graphics technology equipped PCs – that's half a billion in all.
“Our relationship with Intel brings us the resources and expertise to fulfill our vision of providing every PC gamer with the simplest way to have a fast, beautiful, hassle-free gaming experience,” Dennis Fong, founder and CEO of Raptr, commented in a press release. “This collaboration also increases our development, distribution and marketing capabilities and gives us the opportunity to expand both our user base and the services we deliver to them.”
“As a leading supplier of graphics to the PC market, Intel is excited to partner with Raptr to bring their best-in-class optimization technology to our users,” Navin Shenoy, Intel Corporate Vice President and General Manager of Mobility Client Platforms, added. “Intel and Raptr share a common goal of making the PC gaming experience simple and fun for as many users as possible.”
The partnership will combine information learned from Intel's lab-tested performance databases with Raptr's real world telemetry from millions of users globally.
