Ubisoft announced that 2 developers connected to Tom Clancy’s The Division will be available to talk to at their GDC lounge. Lead level designer Chadi El Zibaoui will be available to talk to March 2, and senior technical director Jon Lauf will be there on Friday.
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot revealed in their recent investor’s call that Tom Clancy’s The Division should be releasing anytime between now to March 31, 2016 along with Rainbow Six Siege and Assassins Creed Victory. It may not be a specific date, but it’s at least an assurance that we won’t have to wait one to two more years.
In an interview, they elaborated more on some surprising elements entering the game. There will be dogs, and dangerous ones. In fact, they’ll be so dangerous that humans are their food. This hints at a survival game, or at least an element of that.
The underground system, including subways, utilities and service tunnels, will be a refuge for survivors and a location for fast travel. There should be a lot of NPCs, and possibly do some trading.
Tom Clancy’s The Division is coming 2015 to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows. Watch the video above for more info in the Q&A.
