Assassin's Creed Unity patch 5 has been delayed on Windows PC, the franchise's official Twitter account has confirmed. The update is already available for PS4 and Xbox One.
The patch was originally due to launch on February 19th for all platforms, and is currently available for PS4 and Xbox One, but Ubisoft says:

Patch 5 removes the requirement that players connect to a companion app for Unity in order to unlock blue and yellow chests in the game. The app was released alongside the game last year for iOS and Android and as there was no other way to open the chests, some content and outfits for protagonist Arno were unavailable for many players.
The Initiates website, another companion for Unity, was placed into "a continued state of maintenance at Christmas," with some content being made available for everyone at that time.
Ubisoft says the patch will be available for PC "later this week." Given the company's history with patches for the game on PC, perhaps it's just as well they're taking extra time.
