343 also revealed in the same release that they intend to share more information on the game in the near future. Our source believes that 343 will be revealing information on the game’s single player campaign and story during E3, which will be held on June 16 to 18. These happen to be the parts of the game that we have very little information on at the moment.
Our source also claims that the game will be releasing in August 11, 2015. The reasoning? The Halo 5 art book will be released on that date. As a little context, the Halo 4 art book released on the same date as the game, November 6, 2012.
It would seem likely that Microsoft would choose to have the game and art book release at the same time to avoid spoilers. This would include information on characters, maps, vehicles, and story parts.
As a rule, game companies prefer to release their biggest games on the holidays, to make sure they make the most profit from them. However, Microsoft may choose to release the game earlier, on a date they are likely to dominate.
