According to DICE, a new patch for Battlefield 4 has been scheduled for release in March, breathing a shred of new life perhaps with the next installment, Battlefield Hardline, well on the way to launch. In preparation for the new patch, DICE has been conducting a number of tweaks and changes in the Community Test Environment, with most no doubt ending up in the full patch when it goes live.
Night maps will be added to the game, though it's currently unknown as to whether or not the upcoming March patch will feature this addition. One thing that can be confirmed however is that the first map to receive a night version will be the Siege of Shanghai. It isn't known whether there will be additional maps that will feature a night equivalent, but it's likely that it will be the case.
As we draw closer to March we'll be sure to have further information and a finalised release date.
Battlefield 4 is currently available for the PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4 platforms. Through its premium service, players can also expand their armory and play on all new maps released for the game after its release.
