Crystal Dynamics is not developing the Xbox 360 version of Rise of the Tomb Raider, with Nixxes Software being responsible for the last-gen version.
"We're wholly focused on Rise being an Xbox One title without limitation, without even thinking of the Xbox 360 version," Crystal Dyanmics boss Darrell Gallagher told Game Informer.
While the Xbox 360's "ecosystem is still super strong," he added that console translations take time. Crystal Dynamics was "totally blown away" by a tech demo created by Nixxes for Rise of the Tomb Raider, But the existence of that game isn't limiting our work on the Xbox One version," Gallagher said.
On the Nixxes website, the developer commented:"Nixxes Software is proud to announce that we're working on Rise of the Tomb Raider for Xbox 360. We have teamed up with our long term partners at Crystal Dynamics to create the best experience for Lara Croft's latest adventure, Rise of the Tomb Raider on Xbox 360."
Nixxes previously developed Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition for PlayStation 4. Yesterday, it was confirmed that Lara will travel to Siberia in Rise of the Tomb Raider to confront and ancient cult and seek to discover the lost secrets of immortality.
